Reliable UPS solution for medical applications
Provides IEC 60601-1 compliant emergency power supply for the medical sector of 700 VA/450 W, ideal for use in patient care areas. The built-in isolation transformer provides complete isolation while maintaining AC surge protection in all modes.
Tripp Lite's SMX700HG medical UPS system provides reliable battery backup and, when connected to a hospital-grade outlet, fully complies with IEC 60601-1 regulations, making it ideal for use near patients. The 700 VA/450 W capacity provides up to 36 minutes of runtime at half load or 14.5 minutes at full load, allowing you to work through short power outages and perform an orderly system shutdown during a longer power outage.
The integrated line-interactive voltage regulation corrects voltage drops up to 155 V and surges up to 274 V to a normal 230 V nominal output voltage without drawing on battery power. The SMX700HG's built-in isolation transformer with Faraday shielding provides complete isolation and removes common-mode interference while maintaining full AC surge suppression in all operating modes. The cumulative leakage current of all connected devices is less than 100 microamperes.
This UPS system has six IEC320 C13 outlets suitable for hospitals and has an IEC320 C14 plug suitable for hospitals on a 15 cm long dongle. All six outlets offer both backup protection and surge protection with a power rating of 340 joules.
The SMX700HG also features diagnostic LEDs, a USB port, and a serial DB9 port that work with Tripp Lite's free downloadable PowerAlert software to provide secure, unattended system shutdown and file saving in the event of a prolonged power failure.
