Medical Power Strips – Electrical Safety for Your Practice
For power strips used within the patient environment, EN 60601 stipulates that existing electrical systems may not be modified without being retested in accordance with EN 60601-1-2. For this reason, medical power strips must be secured against the accidental removal or insertion of plugs. The pull-out protection on the power strips must only be openable with a tool and by a qualified professional.
Medical power strips are required wherever specific safety requirements apply to the power supply and the distribution of electricity. Our medical power strips are ideally suited for use in all rooms classified as Application Group 2 according to VDE Part 710.
Accidental disconnection of plugs is prevented.
