TEAC UR-4MD-DICOM Upgrade

Simple extension

With an optional upgrade, the TEAC UR-4MD functions as a DICOM gateway, offering a truly cost-effective solution for connecting your existing (even non-DICOM-enabled) modalities, surgical microscopes, and video endoscope systems to any picture archiving and communication system (PACS). The result is simple DICOM integration with modality worklist management and DICOM storage.

The UR-4MD with DICOM option is ideal if:

  • You need a cost-effective DICOM gateway for your existing imaging devices (such as endoscopy, surgical lights with integrated cameras, mobile X-ray/angiography devices, ultrasound devices, and other systems)
  • You want to connect existing imaging devices that do not have their own interface to your worklist in a cost-effective manner
  • You don't have the budget to implement an expensive PACS or other documentation system, but would like to use a video server and worklist to improve the workflow in the operating room and/or eliminate sources of error due to typos
  • You are looking for a simple and affordable solution with a clear and easy-to-understand operating concept

Key DICOM features include:

  • Worklist Management (MWM) support: With just two button presses, the worklist is displayed on the UR-4MD to select a patient
  • Long worklists can be filtered by patient ID
  • When appointments are changed, the day before or after can also be displayed
  • Support for C-Store (also known as “DICOM Push”), which automatically transfers all images to the patient folder in the PACS
