Network isolators isolate overvoltages and leakage currents in the data network. These are not only caused by faults that occur. Current always flows (leakage currents). If several devices are combined in one system, the leakage currents add up. For example, up to 10 mA can flow when two computers and a monitor are combined and connected via a network cable. From 11 mA, a healthy adult is no longer able to release the live object.
