e-medic™ Silence XS-M Medical Mini Computer (13th Generation) Powerful, Fanless Medical PC With the e-medic™ Silence XS-M Mini PC, we have developed a fanless microcomputer designed for low-maintenance, long-term use in medical settings. Despite—or perhaps precisely because of—its very compact dimensions (134 x 110.5 x 77 mm), the Silence XS-M is a particularly robust medical PC system. It is one of the smallest mini-computers designed for medical applications. The enclosure nevertheless offers sufficient space for the powerful Intel® Core i5 1335UE processor. The aluminum extrusion housing provides reliable protection against mechanical stress. Tight clearances and special seals make the housing completely dustproof to IP60 standards. All of the electronics inside the mini-PC are located on a single circuit board. There are no cables or unsecured connectors that could come loose due to vibrations. A heat pipe cooling system is attached directly to the black anodized solid aluminum heat sink profile housing. Optional mounting options include a DIN rail mount, wall mount, and VESA mount. Fully Equipped The Silence XS-M is equipped with an additional equipotential bonding (ZPA) on the chassis. With RS232 and USB 3.2/USB C interfaces, HDMI, and Wi-Fi, this mini PC is suitable for use at mobile workstations in the medical field and, of course, anywhere where compact size or light weight is required. Fanless CPU Cooling Design The temperature inside the closed, fanless aluminum housing is stabilized exclusively by a special CPU cooling system. The heat from the CPU is dissipated directly to the housing via an aluminum heat sink. Electrical Safety The e-medic™ Silence XS-M mini-PC meets the electromagnetic compatibility requirements of IEC 60601-1-2:2014 + A1:2020. The computer is approved for use in patient environments. Operational Compatibility Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft Windows IoT, and Linux can all be installed on the e-medic™ Silence XS-M (not included).
