Fanless mini PC for medical areas
With the new e-medic™ Silence XS-M Mini-PC, we have developed another fanless mini-computer for low-maintenance long-term use in medically used areas.
Small and powerful
Despite, or perhaps because of, its very small dimensions (134 x 108 x 55 mm), the Silence XS-M presents itself as a particularly robust medical PC system. It is one of the smallest mini-computers for medical applications. The housing nevertheless offers sufficient space for the powerful 8th generation Intel® processor i5 8365UE.
High performance in the smallest space - designed for use in medical applications
The solid aluminum profile housing reliably protects against mechanical stress. Small gaps and special seals make the housing completely dust-tight according to IP 60. The entire electronics inside the Mini-PC are located on a single circuit board. You won't find any cables or unsecured plug connections that could come loose during vibrations. A heatpipe cooling system is directly attached to the black anodized full aluminum heat sink profile housing. Mounting options include DIN rail mount / wall mount, 19 inch rack mount and optional VESA mount.

Fully equipped
The Silence XS-M is equipped with an additional potential equalization (ZPA) on the case. With RS232 and USB 3.2 interfaces, HDMI and Displayport outputs as well as WLAN b/g/n/ac, the mini PC is suitable as the basis for a full-fledged practice system, for example, for use on ward round trolleys, as a control interface for medical equipment and wherever small size or weight are required.
Fanless Cooling CPU Design
The temperature inside the closed, fanless aluminum case is stabilized exclusively by a special CPU cooling system. The heat of the CPU is dissipated directly to the case via an aluminum heat sink. In order to provide stable running performance even at the highest computing power, a "hedgehog design" specially developed for micro computers is used. The available housing area is thereby increased in the same space, so that more surface area has been gained for temperature equalization.
Electrical safety
The device meets the electromagnetic compatibility requirements of IEC 60601-1-2:2014. In addition, the power supply of this product has been tested for compliance with the EN / IEC 60601-1 safety standards for medical electrical equipment. The e-medic™ computer may be used within the patient environment.
