Part 1-2: Electromagnetic compatibility of medical electrical equipment.
EN 60601-1-2:2015 is the primary EMC standard for medical electrical equipment and systems and is entitled "Medical electrical equipment - Part 1-2: General requirements for basic safety and essential performance - Safety standard: Electromagnetic disturbance - Requirements and testing". It is the European supplementary standard to the basic standard IEC 60601-1 of December 2005 and defines the general requirements and tests for electromagnetic compatibility. International standard: IEC 60601-1-2:2014.
A new, revised version of IEC 60601-1-2-2 was published in 2014 (Edition 4), replacing the previous version from 2007 (Edition 3.).
EN 60601-1-2:2015 is the latest European edition listed in the EU Official Journal. It is technically equivalent to IEC 60601-1-2:2014.
The Edition 3. of 2007 could still be used until December 31, 2018.
